It can still be a case of searching for novelty. I think my mother did this while I was growing up - she would try out new replacement products (primarily food) and start buying them for a while, until the household got fed up with them and

Oh yeah, that's my own load testing tool, written in the high-performance language Bash. It is a bit feature sparse but produces about the same RPS numbers as Drill ( https://github.com/fcsonline/drill ) and not too

Tsung was made in another era, before devops. I think it shows in the UX and everywhere when using the tool that it wasn't really meant for developers. Specifically, and with the disclaimer that I haven't used Tsung so much, I

For commercial products, I think the most useful interpretation is that a "viable product" is one that someone is willing to buy. That means implicitly that it has to provide value for the end user. One could also stretch the goal

I have, and I'd bet that a reason you don't see it often is that you generally don't keep many adult bullies as close friends, because they're usually not people who are nice to be around.

Slightly funny story similar to yours: we were having our 2nd kid and my wife was given no2 gas as a painkiller. I got to be in charge of the dial that controlled the no2/oxygen mix. We started at, like, 40% no2 but then she said she w

If you meet an overweight person, do you begin conversation by telling them to eat less? If not, why don't you? They obviously get too much calories and may benefit from your advice. And they can always tell you to stop giving them a

I beg to differ about the lying. Do lie about unimportant things, let them try and figure out the lie, then confess (regardless of whether they figured it out or not). It becomes like a game, and if you do it right, in a lighthearted way, t

I had kids late in life, which I think has some advantages. One is that you've learnt that nothing lasts and it's important to be present in the moment, because it doesn't come back.
