Sure hope it's got nothing to do with literature because even I can read more than two books in five years.

For everyone (including India and China). Could we get the same ends via something more useful? In theory, sure, but it seems pretty evident that the answer in practice is no, since our congress has mostly been gridlocked for the past 16 ye

Yes and no, I'd say. Going back to the moon is big but it's also pretty self-contained, in a way. It just costs money (and doles a bunch of it out to the contracted companies). It's also mostly time-boxed. Healthcare, worker&

The best I've used, and I say this in all sincerity, is actually Facebook's work platform (but it's not a chat-first experience, obviously, and that's probably what made it better).

I actually think getting the political will, money, and execution together would be the part that would be a noteworthy show of force (and I'd argue being unable to get it done would be equally noteworthy in the other direction).

You might well be right. My eyes are definitely not great on top of the strabismus and lack of binocular vision. One of the main issues with tracking things is focus switching from one eye to another based on where it's moving. That sa

There's also a lot of depth to the strategy of the game. Handedness, pitcher/batter tendencies, etc. I'll never be convinced moving the NL to the DH was the right move for people who actually liked the sport.

I think it really depends on how big of a pivot and how good they were pre-pivot. Rockmelt made one of my favorite browsers (UX-wise) in 2010-2011. A year later they pivoted to ... I don't even remember what anymore. But it wasn't

Maybe, in retrospect, all those brilliant folks who made all that money would've deserved it more if they'd built cultures that could survive 5 years.

If you haven't already (which seems unlikely), look into the Renault 5 Turbo. Bit of an absurd car, but the modern (non-turbo) 5's slight bumps over the rear wheels are such a good callback to the Turbo (the original Renault 5 wer
