Nix has an install step to use a package, AppFS does not -- not having a step is easier than having one. If you want to use a package, you just use it. Additionally, I'm the author of AppFS.net just redirects you to AppFS.rkeene.org -

AppFS [0] solves a similar problem but with much lower learning curve and overhead for using it, since it removes the install step altogether. [0] https://appfs.net/

Keep in mind that this number does not include people who are not looking for work, for example people who have given up looking for work because they have not been able to find a job.

Lots of things break if you move "C:\Program Files" to a different drive (and make it a mountpoint), updates try to RENAME from a temporary directory into it, but fails because it's a different filesystem instance. IIS used

The alleged violation is using the IP after the lease expires and before the issuance of a new lease. I don't know if that's true, since most DHCP clients request a new IP long before their lease expires to avoid this.

Hmm, not really in the same way -- to do this with linker scripts you would need to rename some of the symbols in the library being consumed. What you can use, to a limited extent, is dlmopen(). Shared objects in Linux are just really late

Outside of the web, I already use a tool called HashCache [0][1] to ensure that I can repeatedly fetch the right upstream source tarball for a Linux distribution I maintain. A simple script I use to download is here [2], and example usage

Assuming that hash is base64 encoded, this solution would conflict with RFC 2616 (and this approach caused Let's Encrypt to fail sometimes too [0] !) [0] https://community.letsencrypt.org/t/may-19-2017-ocsp-and-iss

This isn't a stylistic choice for Fossil, it's a technical one. In Fossil, all clones have identical artifacts (modulo private ones) so rewriting history by changing the set of artifacts creates a much harder synchronization prob
