Thanks. Do you ever experience any 'false positives' i.e. flashlight turns on when you didn't intend? (A few other people in the comments mentioned that)

I'm on Android and just wish I had a simple button (or switch) dedicated to the flashlight. Back when I ran LineageOS it was easy to commandeer a physical button and repurpose it for this. It is still difficult to do so under stock OS

It's an awesomely inspirational vision, but within 2 minutes of trying it out I found it's lacking a lot of little features (at least on the web build)... e.g: Ampersands in button labels don't create an accelerator (e.g. &a

I did extensive work in Visual Basic 6. Nearly all of the GUI's I created had resizeable windows that scaled gracefully. It was really straightforward to hook the Resize event. I considered this table stakes for any thoughtfully-writ

Great job writing up the prognosis. I've experienced a few subtly nuanced Gboard and text input bugs on Android with quite unintuitive and frustrating symptoms (eg. keyboard not coming up when it should, copy/paste context menus

This is awesome. I miss the ISA bus and its simplicity. People raved about PCI's Plug and Play, but in practice I found it very straightforward to set IRQ jumpers and the experience was free of the quirky issues I encountered with PnP

We've always been lazy. To the point I've seen people here argue against striving for quality workmanship, in favour of efficiency. But like any other trade, some of us are craftsmen who really care about our work.

Canadian here. Disappointed by the lack of transparency. First, no corporation should be unilaterally shut down without a clear explanation provided, including facts & evidence (which would normally come to light during due process).

I'd love if dedicated hardware existing in disk controllers for calculating stuff like ECC could be enhanced to expose hashes of blocks to the system. Getting this for free for all your I/O would allow some pretty awesome things.
