I know some people who believe in God pretty well, but I don't blame them. I've realized they're not stupid, they just don't give it any critical thought and at same time it's a socially acceptable position.

I don't really like it, I guess it's a personal preference, but I need a game where skill is just a little bit more important. When I play Catan I just feel like I'm following a train track - zero options. I prefer Warcraft, the board game!

In the Netherlands, squatting is regulated: It's actually allowed to live in a building you don't own, if that building has been vacant for a certain period. It's a way to combat the other side of squatting: Property owners who don't use th

Sigh, you first need to define consciousness before you can answer any questions about it. What is consciousness? My dream is to develop artificial intelligence, so I've thought about this a lot. Generally people have it very wrong. I would

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7O4Sa8sGXk This video refers to "experts", but I am pretty sure you can find more of the same via Google. And apparantly the propaganda was in the 20s-30s.

I use weed rarely nowadays, but have consumed my fair share. The effects differ a little bit per person, but in general: Weed makes you think you're sharp and insightful, but it actually makes you really stupid and slow. You forget things c

That is an interesting observation! If you realize we come from non- or low-interactional media like newspapers and tv channels, you could say society has been low in discussion because of media limits. And the internet resolves this, givin

All I really read in here is that China is pumping money in to the US, so the US is safe. Because of this the dollar is obviously the safest bet for investments, creating a spiralling effect. This leaves other currencies somewhat less attra

So, that is a pretty big statement. Why do you expect this? You think there are people who are not using drugs because it is illegal? Or because they can't afford it? People who don't use, don't use because they know it's unhealthy. Legaliz
