That's not even copyright, that's Trademarks and maybe registered design patents. If I draw fan art of Mickey Mouse, it's copyright me, not Disney. If I sell it or use it for promoting something, then it's probably a v

The hospital is "fully" funded, which means they pay for doctors and treatments and stuff, but most (maybe all) UK hospitals have a charity arm that pays for some extras, like refurbishment of rest and waiting areas and things lik

It's only in the interests of health insurance companies to make costs lower if they do it in a way that doesn't make costs lower for other insurance companies. As long as costs are high for everyone they can charge more knowing t

I read that the primary issue for similar combined water and PV systems is that it's great for making a large amount of slightly warm water, but it can't make water hot enough for general domestic use while keeping it cold enough

Google should be massively down ranking sites that do this. Also if a site has a huge historical archive, that should be a positive indicator of site quality, not a negative one.

Just because Tesla has a recharging network and a car company doesn't mean others need a similar setup. It's fine for them to be separate companies. Just make sure your car supports ISO 15118 Plug and Charge. It may be the case th

The price is irrelevant. What matters is how long that kind of device can be reasonably expected to last. Dumb wall sockets cost about £5 and last >20 years. Smart sockets should last a comparable time, or come with a warning. Because ce

In the UK this is protected by consumer law under the terms of the The Consumer Rights Act 2015. Anyone who bought their devices direct from British Gas should write to them saying that they want repair, replacement with equivalent devices

I think it's probably illegal to grant an app permission to access contacts in Europe or the UK as it's GDPR covered personal data about others who have not given consent.

In the UK, 3rd rail is typically 600V (DC), where as overhead is 25kV (AC). So you need 40× the current to get the same power. For high powered intercity trains that run at around 1MW of power, it increases transmission losses substantially
