I used it a lot at first and it taught me about NFC, IR, etc. I made a few remote controls on it, which is convenient to e.g. turn a fan on at night due to its backlight. I also clone Amiibos for Switch games. And make copies of hotel room

IIRC phones need to be rooted to pretend to be an NFC card, although they can write to blank ones. I've done this before. The Flipper Zero is a lot more convenient though.

Tried it for mysql and it was flat out broken and silently corrupted data.

Also UK and I know we devoted pretty serious manpower to tracking timesheets and writing up R&D reports of projects to get a tax deduction.

The cheapest panel option is absolutely horrible, but the others are pretty decent. Might be that.

I work outside of London in the UK and my salary was $91k, way above the visa requirement. I think most senior UK engineers could meet it.

I can only speak for Japan but it makes a huge difference being able to rent an apartment for a year for a fraction of a price of hotels/airbnb, and also get a proper Japanese phone number which is practically a requirement for all kin

My stock Manjaro Linux system also displayed them as squares, installing noto-fonts-emoji fixes it.

Read Uncommitted is fine for aggregate stats, although at that point it would be better to pipe the data into Clickhouse.

In my experience a lot of people still like to withdraw their salary when it arrives and spend it as cash. It depends on demographic. In cities like London and Bristol card-only pubs are common.

"Taking the order" means listening to their order, keying it in and taking payment. All of that is replaced by apps/kiosks, right? Of course somebody needs to pack it and send it to you.

So it's going to be a dystopian Amazon job, where the fries and burgers come down in conveyor belts and you just put them into the right box. For 8 hours at a time. Personally I'd prefer that job be automated because it's so

Not to mention ordering via the app and collecting. QR code websites and tablet ordering machines are rapidly replacing humans taking your order across most restaurants, in the UK and Japan at least.

I own the Le Strum, but honestly a tablet app would be almost as good. There's no tactility for the strum bar anyway.

The UK rise was more like 350% post Ukraine war, so that doesn't seem too bad.

We might see it come back. After Fukushima support for nuclear energy was 30%, but this has increased to 50-60%. Japan is importing large amounts of energy from overseas and electricity bills are high in an already tight economy.

This is good news, currently both Steam VR and Meta's Link stuff runs in parallel both with their own pop-up UI and settings. Just using Steam simplifies things a lot.

Print news is only a matter of time, right? The US daily newspaper circulation declined 30% between 2016 and 2020. UK newspapers are dropping 10-20% in circulation in 2023 -alone-. Most of our magazines are already dead or extremely low qua
