Not to mention for #1 there are some games that already support controllers through the gamepad support in Android 4.0. If the Ouya supports that they may very well work 'out of the box'. As a developer I'm happy to see someone trying to ta

From everything I've heard pvs-studio is great, but it only runs within Visual Studio. Would love to have an os x or linux version of it some day.

No idea who'd have done the patch, it was really a team effort. I forget the exact number, but there were 20+ contributors over the course of the project. And by the time it was up and running a lot of us were crashing due to the long hour

I was part of the team that worked on this way back in the day, and it was a blast. It was a bunch of soldering, running wires, trying to debug all the issues, etc. And then everything came together and it just worked. Woz showing up was t

While I don't have any additional context on the above quote, it's worth noting that game industry 'middleware' vendors are very interested in the gpu performance of various devices. Engine providers (e.g. - Unity, Epic/UDK, etc) are often

The article is about someone who works a steady non-contract job who signs up for personal side projects and research stuff at work, I'm not sure how you think "increasing your rates" applies in the situation. (FWIW, if you're a contractor

I think all the indie devs that are getting letters from lodsys would tend to disagree with you about whether or not it's a 'real' issue.

As mentioned many times in that thread, iOS sandboxing won't let you mark pages as executable. So for right now the answer is "no" if you want your app to run on non-jailbroken devices.

Thanks for the link, I hadn't known about those phones. It's a resistive touchscreen instead of a capacitative multitouch screen, but it's certainly fair to count it as a predecessor.

I get why Google wants to hold back the source, but it sucks for the folks who bought a Xoom and now don't have access to it. Andy Rubin's definition of "Open" ( http://twitter.com/#!/arubin/status/27808662429 ) doesn't have much value if
