Definitely not. They appear to be SD rips of television broadcasts. Obviously it would be best if rights holders made their media available for reasonable prices on reasonable services, but until we have sane IP laws, hobbyist preservatio

Will be interesting to watch regulatory arbitrage play out over the next couple of years if the US and EU diverge from this take in upcoming legal disputes.

All 7 seasons are well seeded on the torrents. It's hard for media to become lost these days, but if you want to see a lot of it, you aren't going to do so legally under such a ludicrous IP regime.

Problem is that we don't build the damn things anymore, so each one is bespoke and expensive. Ideally we'd keep building them and develop the expertise and make it a more repeatable scalable process. I worry instead that the less

It's been years so I don't remember the exact details, but it's probably what I saw recommended as an entry level printer on various fora.

Yeah I got into 3d printing a few years ago to start a side business for a niche hobby, got a nicer Creality CR-10S, I think it was. Endless hours tinkering with the thing, and still could only get nice solid prints like half the time. I

Nice to see you dropping in Maxim! For the GP poster - I agree with Maxim here. We've been evaluating workflow orchestration and durable function systems for a while and finally whittled down to where we think we're going to pull

Probably as many regulations as there are on alcohol or tobacco or pharmaceuticals (which I'm also not a fan of the doctor/pharmaceutical gated access to other drugs). If you produce it has to be pure, tested, not adulterated, wi

I actually don't think we should decriminalize. Just legalize it and let people get pure product at dirt cheap prices. There's no reason to fund crime (drug dealers/organized crime), maim and kill users, push users into pove

Unsurprising, really. They were given cover to increase prices, so they did it. That is their duty as the operators of those corporations to the shareholders.

I live here. The fact that we elected two dem senators, one in a runoff, is indicative of a shift to me. We'll definitely see how 2024 goes, but at the very least we're very purple for the first time in a long time.

Yes. That is what is valued in the economic system we have. Absolute cut throat dominance to take as big a chunk of any pie you can get your grubby little fingers into yields the greatest amount of capital.

True. When you can just make any function be whatever you want whenever you want that sort of abstraction does seem a big much. I was responding to the specific question in reference to the time provider in .net 8.

Because you can now fully simulate arbitrary times during testing by providing your own implementation of the time provider. If you just take in a timezone as an argument, how will you simulate it being 2041-08-23T21:17:05.023743Z?

If you're doing any new work as of the past 3 years, it's just .NET. It's really not that confusing unless you're updating legacy software in which case you're probably quite embedded in the ecosystem already.

The new interceptors in C# 12 look pretty wild. Will have to play around with them. Was hoping for more of a PostSharp style AOP framework, and this doesn't appear to be that.

Because one of the biggest ways that child abuse is detected and abated is by interaction between students and children. Isolating children in insular communities is a really great way to abuse them and hide the evidence of it. Regular int
