Yikes. The first page of their comments go back 7 months. I don't agree that reaches the OPs bar for an 'explosion', but you do you.

A slingshot is a MANPADS. It's not a very good one, but it's portable, and an air defense system. The Fliegerfaust was a manpads, and it just yeeted a few tubes into the air.

Because these are silly personal scripts. I'm not going to make sensible architectural decisions on something I run every now and then on my laptop. That's optimising too early.

Thanks, I'll look into this in the future. I don't need the most performant script, but this could change.

Dope. I've just started using Pandas in some personal projects, and am quickly hitting my knowledge ceiling. I think this will be useful. I'll check it out properly after work.

iOS is light years ahead of anything any government IT project has ever, and in my opinion can ever, deliver. They’re not even in the same league. I hope you can see why that's a nonsensical statement. Palantir is a private intelligenc

This is fantastic. From a password brute force perspective, threat actors have been localizing their password files for a while now, so I presume it learned from that. Now I want to see if, by prompting Claude to open a zip file, I can get

Yes. Appealing to authority ("The AI said it was her!") is absolutely a problem. I'm not dismissing the rest of what you are saying, but I don't think you should dismiss appeals to authority being a factor, either.

The concept of pre-trial detention is nuts to me. In Ireland, sensibly, you can not set bail that is insurmountable to the defendant.

I like it for buckets, but adding a four digit code won't help with the package hijacking side of things - in fact might just introduce more typo/hijack potential. It'll just be four more characters for people to typo.
