This isn't going to go anywhere. People (myself included) have been bitching about the iPhones reception issues since the first release. It hasn't stopped apple from selling millions of them. Personally I was on the fence about switching to

V8, Chrome, and the Developer Tools do run my code, just when I ask it to. Guess it makes sense Google is asking it to too. So what, they must be able to query and manipulate the dom, only after Javascript has run. jsdom -- DOM in Javascr

Yeah I bet you're right. We all just have to suck it up now with AT&T but nobody is happy with the status quo.

Why is every DF post ending up here on HN? For comments perhaps? Google / Google Voice / Gizmo5 or any SIP provider offers data calls. I've been messing around with this on my iPad and it's very close to being viable. There's no question it

What are PBXes and SipSocery for? A SIP client can talk to Gizmo directly, the catch is a 3 minute limit on call out. But initiating the call from GV, where it calls into your Gizmo # then connects to the other number, works like a charm.

Background VOIP clients shouldn't be ignored for improving the call situation. There's no way Apple will ever become a carrier though. And such a shame they're hostile towards Google, Google Voice is our best hope for a new carrier yet...

Whistle for iPad is good and free. It just has a walgreens advertisement in the middle of the screen. Acrobits Softphone is quite nice too, for $6.99 I think. It offers tons of official support for lots of SIP providers, and push notificati

There is, I have plenty of saved Joe Schmoe (SMS) email addresses in my address book now. Writing a fresh email to this address sends a txt.

Getting everyone to use my GV number is really paying off these days. I don't pay any carrier anything for SMS service. I use Google Voice, generally via my gmail inbox, for all SMS> Then my iPad is running a soft phone, configured with

No it was shown there was a bug. Plus this validates the OPs question. It's not hard to receive emails somewhere, but it is hard to clean them, validate the sender with SPF and a few other email non-standards. I've been using google app eng

Sensationalist headline but I can't wait to try this. When you start representing everything as JSON trees, web programming gets so much more consistent, compact, and easier. Also see: MongoDB - save data in BSON (binary JSON) And query wit

Amen! Google is and always has been playing a "heads I win, tails I win" game with Android and sure enough is positioned to win. Not just against Apple but the telcos too. Google Voice was a major move here. I like my iPhone, but I like a

Awesome, I found Tesla in the upcoming IPOs section.

How does one take part in an IPO? Can I use my E-Trade brokerage account? I'm just getting into investing, I know its risky times and a risky company, but I think battery tech is the future and Tesla obviously knows a few things here.

Thank you. File management is the clearest way the iPad demonstrates that it is not a professionals tool, but a multimedia toy. I'm hoping something is announced at WWDC that breaks the iTunes stranglehold on managing iPhone OS devices but
