I honestly think VR hasn't taken off yet because every VR headset since forever has been a locked-down platform or not a stand-alone device (meaning: You need a powerful PC to use it, which makes the cost too high for casual players).

> No one wants to wear a PC on their faces. This has yet to be determined! Because no VR headset so far has actually been a proper PC. You can't develop on them. You can't just install whatever TF you want. You have to us

Exactly! There's vastly more software available for Linux than there is for Windows and the Linux experience is vastly superior. It's a real-world example of "more software == better".

FYI: This is usually solved by placing a fan on the floor in front of your boundary (designated play area). This isn't just a "community tip", it's been studied: https://www.computer.org/csdl/journ

Rumor is it that the focus of this new headset is AR. Not VR. So once again they're making a stupid business decision based on wishful thinking. Exec 1: "Surely, people will want to wear this headset all day while they work! Bec

Great big difference though: A dishwasher is a water-saving and energy-saving technology. Not saying LLMs are all bad, just that comparing them to dishwashers is probably not the best idea.

You've got the problem of prediction gambling framed incorrectly. It's not a matter of people losing money on bad bets, it's all about incentivized corruption and causing bad events (even catastrophic) so that a few may pr

That's all fine and good but it would be nice even if we just replaced the plastics used in PCBs with something that can biodegrade and/or renders itself harmless after going into the waste. Truly biodegradable electronics would

Not to mention Microsoft's investments in Nvidia and other GPU-adjacent/dependent companies! A successful ternary model would basically erase all that value overnight. In fact, the entire stock market could crash! Think about it:

The difference is that in a software project you can throw more than one instance of the model at the code. If you tell it to follow your naming conventions and it fails to do so, that can be picked up by an instance of the same LLM that&#
