You're seriously insinuating that a person has to be an expert in the field to be able to identify that a device with moving parts has... moving parts in it?

It's amazing the type of pretty tame criticism that gets downvoted here these days. Your criticism is entirely factual and has zero hint of malice. I felt the exact same way when I read these things in the article -- just pure nonsense

Why do you love to see a particular language used for something? It would be like being excited at seeing someone using aluminum to build something over steel/wood/etc.

Right, because people looking through their cameras at all of the chaos, flashing lights and pulsating wristbands would _definitely_ notice one human being standing there with an IR transmitter and be able to understand what they were looki

What's the point of articles like this? I see them crop up all the time where someone from the future looks back on some distant past WAY out of context, and says things like "This was INSANE!" "Who would ever design som

Many things are hard problems, but you don't need to be an expert to recognize an obviously bad solution. If you had showed someone the first bicycle, and it came with 3 differently sized wheels and a spike for a seat, you wouldn'

So to clarify: With infinite lives, it would have guaranteed you made it to the end, at which point you would stop playing anyway. So in both cases you stop playing, but at least in one of the cases the game remains hard for people who like

It boggles my mind that the top comments on HN are now mostly just someone shouting into the void about self-absorbed topics that are (at best) loosely correlated to the article. This one is a shining example.

Ya bro and then the next level would be to like feed that AI generated play or script and feed it into an AI movie maker. It would totally be a game changer! I'm super stoked and pumped about it

This is a calculator, not a simulator. What exactly are you simulating? This takes a number of fixed inputs and produces a fixed output over some very coarse, manually controlled time steps. It's like saying using a calculator to add u
