Since before the age of the smartphone, people have thought their phone conversations are being recorded. And there’s absolutely evidence that it’s true. So too is evidence of UFOs and aliens. But that’s a tangent. The claim I was seeking e

And for those people, the only thing that matters is having the best search engine as the default. Which other engine doesn’t track user searches and can compete? I can only think of DuckDuckGo, but I don’t think they’re good enough.

Do you have a source for that claim? I think laypeople know google serves them custom ads, but don’t understand how or the extent to which adtech is tracking and profiling them to select those ads. In fact, because it’s a common trope to sa

If you take a look at the optimized Mojo code doing the matrix multiply [1], it takes an expert to understand. It’s not just some simple for-loops in Mojo they’re comparing against. [1] https://github.com/modularml/mojo

It’s not just weird, it’s an intentionally dishonest evaluation to build hype around their language. If you ask your average Python programmer what “pure Python” means they’d think numpy is included. Their Mojo code just does the same optim

Almost no one can drive a manual. Or a double-clutch. My point is the number of people qualified to operate a vehicle doesn’t change whether the operator is a passenger of the vehicle. I personally know more folks who can fly a small plane

That’s because I’m heavily implying that everyone refers to a Miata as two-passenger vehicle. Just read the first sentence on its Wikipedia page. Same goes for sedans typically being 5-passenger vehicles (5 seatbelts).
