The first thing I thought about is a man in the middle attack with homoglyphs. I don't know if I'm paranoid, but look at this > keybase id maria pgp: C4B3 15B4 7154 5281 5100 1C58 C2A5 977B 0022 github:

It's not like he can say "sorry, but it wasn't me. Still friends?". The risks are probably the same, so it's better to be hated AND a thief :-P

Years passed and we discovered a bunch of things. Everyone agree that Bash syntax could be better, and C is not perfect either (that's why new languages like Rust are being developed). We didn't reach perfection a couple decades a

"pkgfile jpeg" || echo looks like a good name. Maybe not. (I don't have pkgfile but I think the above command would echo the string). I do understand that naming a program is every day harder, but mbox is a really famous form

Desktop e-mail clients have more features than the web interface. Also, you get to keep a copy of your e-mails, so if Google removes your account (it may happen) you don't loose anything.

Opposite to Lavabit, Mozilla can't decrypt your data, so I can't see this happening, unless they change the open source client code without anyone noticing.

Mozilla has been sponsored by Google since long ago, but they always thought about people first. In fact, if you don't trust them you can run your own sync server in whatever country you like.

To not test a website on Firefox before launch isn't a bit extreme? (text input invisible is pretty bad)

I wouln't say "just". It solves an important problem, the fact that the site you are logging in could have a javascript keylogger to read the password you are going to enter.

Your function is_digit_char(s) is peculiar. From the name I would expect it to return a boolean, instead it returns a number or None. To write it like that and have a problem with the falseness of 0 it means that you use it in a way to both

I was thinking about not forking processes to read a file, not to avoid the use of php, if you're comfortable with that. What ideas do you have about reading the stats? You'll have to use a server side language anyway (or do you p

Once an extension can modify the DOM (and most extensions need it) you loose any hope of permissions. From injecting javascript to sending data modifying an img[src], there's no way to protect your privacy. I don't think that perm
