Nope. I bought mine because it was a cheap experiment. If I couldn't use something like crouton I would have never bought it.

Agreed. I might go months without downloading any new apps, then I'll download/buy five or six in a day. That throws off the average.

I have the same feelings. That's why I like projects like http://www.ractivejs.org/ and http://rivetsjs.com/ . They have the productivity benefits without forcing you to use JSX.

I never claimed that developers are the niche market. And I didn't have to 'hack it' other than turning on dev mode. Ubuntu runs in a tab, just like everything else. It fills a niche in my life, I never claimed it would help

Most games I never make in-app purchases. But if the game is fun, and the in-app purchase makes sense, I'll pay. Hearthstone, Zombie Farm Battles are examples of games I play all the time, so I don't mind spending a few bucks here

Chromecast is typically powered by the USB port on the TV, not the wall. I'm not going to buy this if I need to plug it into the wall.
