If your Bitcoin are not stored in a wallet whose keys you exclusively control, then you do not possess Bitcoin, you possess an IOU for Bitcoin.

What notebook computer is as durable and has as good a keyboard / touchpad / display? The keyboard and touchpad in particular is why I can't leave. It's ergonomic.

Agreed. I think it's entirely possible that they cannot easily find the skill set they need at 200000€/yr and it's simply that the tech writer did a poor job of communicating the job requirements.

But aren't most job requirements in our field typically written like that? For example I remember receiving calls from recruiters looking for devs with 5+ years of .NET experience when .NET was less than 5 months old.

I think it's important to note that it's unclear that Bitcoin Core will ever allow for a block size increase to occur: several influential Core developers have publicly stated that that are still very much opposed to any increase

Mics (and to a lesser degree high-end preamps) are not so easily replicated as digital gear. If you want the sound of a Neumann U87, or U47, or Shure SM7, or 57, then nothing - nothing - is going to scratch that itch like the right mic for

Most cities succeed or fail based on their governance. Great ideas are awesome - I love them - but governance is where the rubber meets the road. Solve governance, solve everything.

It's true that you can "mix for the listening format." This is just my personal experience and opinion (and that of pretty much every audio engineer I've worked with): headphones lie. Ears are designed to perceive sound

You're probably confusing audio compression with data compression. These days every note of music you listen to on every modern album has a compressor in it somewhere, even if you don't think you can hear it, it's there.

Shotgun mics have a pinched sound quality - the whole point of using U87s is the way they sound. They can switch to SM7s or RE20s and achieve much better S/N with respect to air handling systems, but they want the "U87 sound"
