What's really curious is that you aren't using ublock origin. Life's too short to be harassed by marketing.

And... what, exactly, are you expecting to happen to this person? An Apple SWAT team to break down his door and shoot his dog? I've happily violated hundreds of EULAs for all sorts of software in my time. They're worth less than t

Yes, this is a serious issue. However, I wouldn't claim that Mozilla has any negotiating power with Google even today - Google is likely to continue to fund Mozilla in order to stave off potential antitrust action.

You're confusing gecko and servo. Servo is an experimental web engine which was being developed by Mozilla to test experimental tech. Recently its dev team was laid off. Gecko is the production engine that Firefox is based on, and it&#

There's no grey area here, though. Emulator devs explicitly disavow using their software for piracy, and ban anyone on official forums for mentioning or linking to pirated games. That's all they have to do, really. (assuming the e

No tricks, mpv just jumps to the nearest keyframe, which allows near instant skips. If you want to do time-exact skips, you need to skip to the keyframe previous to your target time and then decode normally from there, causing a delay. I pr

I mean, sure, game dev in general is very expensive. But in the grand scheme of a game's budget, server infra is a very small part relative to the others. In addition, the per-user cost is miniscule (which is probably what I should hav

The cost of said infrastructure is miniscule compared to the immense profits of just selling the games. Also, consoles are generally only sold at a loss at the beginning of their life cycle, becoming profitable not long after launch as comp

The internet is very big. Just because parler won't be hosts on AWS doesn't mean they won't find a host. They'll find a hosting company run by people as awful as them, just like the daily stormer did.
