This. I was lucky enough to fall for a German woman who was studying in the states. We married and moved to Berlin when we realized having a family in the US would be a struggle. We could have moved to the suburbs, but we really hate car cu

I agree with you and the article that youth Germany have open upbringings; however, I do think the German reputation is well earned. Admittedly, I've only been here 2.5 years, but the legal requirements for basic life business and for

Is questions asked really a good metric? StackOverflow actively discourages asking duplicate questions, and all the easy newbie questions haven't changed in a while, it seems inevitable that certain technologies appear to decline. I f

Would be sweet if you could customize the options in your printed sheets. Example: I know how to preform basic git operations, but sometimes I need a reminder of how to push a local branch to a remote with a different branch name.

I have been super broke and unable to pay bills at two points in my life - just out of college and trying to find a job after the dot-come bust, and again when my startup failed. During those bad times, I'd lose track of my finances an

I have a real need for such a tool - I work at a non-profit (MAYDAY PAC) and we pull expertise from distributed technical volunteers. While it's a good start, I agree it's far from "We fixed mockups" To your point: Th

As a ruby/js dev moving to Berlin in September, that's good to hear. I'm interested in talking to folks who might be more familiar with the scene there. If you know anyone who'd be good to reach out to, let me know!

This is Mario from Mayday PAC. Yeah, our last release had those 2018 issues. The data actually comes from several different vendors and we plan on normalizing it all better post election. The 2018 data should have been registered as 2014.

If you're still in the U.S., just order it. I bought my old nexus here and it works just fine in Europe and South America. Just need to pop out the SIM card. If it works on t-mobile, it basically works anywhere.

Yes! I knew a 22 year old developer who had a heart attack. He had a super unhealthy lifestyle, was overweight, ate crap, worked insane hours and was super stressed out. If he was 30 with those habits, he might have, indeed died.
