Maybe that's because this demand is much lower than you imagine? Nobody cares about open source.

Yes it tells the story. Does it help to understand the history of the code? Not necessary. I care most about what, when and where came from, not some fiction around that.

Why not $100k instead of $3k, for the job you did not get because of GMail?

I wonder how the 13x13 or 21x21 match would go. IIRC AlphaGo was tuned to 19x19 board.

And the result is they share the majority of the code and do not share the gazillion of tweaks for each plafrom, thus negating any advantage gained?

Care to name a few of those things? Besides that A LOT of the new things in HTML5 standard first appeared on Safari (and mobile, for that).

with the latest webdev trends it is extremely unlikely this will improve any time soon. There was a time (~10-15) years ago when separation of concenrs and accessibility did matter, now it is just a js frameworks bloodbath.

You'd be amazed how many bugs are found and being fixed for closed source software. Especially when people are paid to do it.

JS fatiques starts where web pages (not web apps) start to depend on thousands of kilobytes of javascript. Now the default thinking is along the lines "I am starting a new project, I will use angular", instead of some analysis wha
