Hello, Cass and Rikki here, the co-founders of Sign by Phone ( https://www.signbyphone.co.uk ). The idea came from Cass's wife having an awkward delivery moment near the beginning of the pandemic lockdown. The delivery guy n

Oh, and I might start looking into allowing users to use custom domains. I recently made the switch from SendGrid to Mailgun for the email ingress. Mailgun seems to have a more programmatic means of adding domains/DNS via API then Send

Agreed! In the meantime, this is one way of calming down the distraction in your inbox until it's fixed at a more fundamental level. Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for your kind words. I'm thinking of starting a section on the site with all the interesting ways in which people are using the service. If you have a moment, I'd love to hear how it's helping you. Cheers, Rikki

Thank you. A lot of people asked how it was developed so I decided to document it. Glad you liked it.

Update: I've just made it a little clearer. I've also made a note to mention this in the docs.

Hey there, I really ought to update that to make that a bit clearer. It's a tricky one for me to get across. The free plan doesn't have any hard limits, and I've toed-and-froed with what to place under that section in terms o

Hey kossmoboleat, thanks for signing up. I just found your reply. Not sure if you'll see this, but I do have some features on the horizon to accomplish this. As you suggested, I will be allowing users to add their time zone and then a

I think there's a balancing act between making it memorable enough and simple enough. Great suggestion though, noted! Hacker News is incredible. A spectacular hive mind for mulling potential ideas over.

These are some great suggestions. I'm starting to think about how I could use custom domains etc. I need to figure out the next steps for the app and what people would be prepared to pay for such a tool. Ideally, I'd like to keep

Very good. I’m noting all these suggestions down. The app only launched a few days ago. I wanted to make sure it was a valid product first before doing too much to it. I’ll gradually add more functionality and examples over time.

Thanks, rs23296008n1. I toyed with the idea of a send in one hit approach, but feel it will be counterproductive to having a calm inbox. Getting 5, 10, 50 emails in quick succession would certainly raise my stress levels. Perhaps I can offe

Good question lqet, thanks. I did create a version that added each message as an EML file to the email with links to each file too. Perhaps a cunning combination of the two variants might be the way forward. Appreciate the suggestion, it&#x

I'm working on pacing emails to a more manageable, calmer schedule. I'm doing it with essentially a UI-less system which is a rather fun way to produce an app. It simply requires a user to update their email of the website that em

Thanks for posting! I'm the creator of Paced Email. I wasn't expecting it to be shared so quickly to Hacker News. A prominent dev Tweeted about it today and the site had a healthy footfall. Paced Email is definitely an MVP, but it

Try and lock onto a dot as you track your eye from left to right. And then to undo that, lock onto a dot as you track downwards. That's how I managed to switch between red/green and yellow dots.

Two days ago I deleted my old Digital Ocean VPN (built using the OpenVPN tutorial I found somewhere), then opted for a discounted 3-year NordVPN plan. Looks like I'm going to have to ask for a refund. facepalm .
