in ubuntu sudo apt-get install libfuse-dev is required before building. Of course I guess most of you already figured this out. Might be worth adding it to the github page though. Besides awesome idea and it seems to be working perfectly!

I'd expect that at least some of the programs here would be OpenGL accelerated. The author is using a computer that doesn't have any opengl acceleration under Linux. Perhaps this is what's causing the crashes?

This seems like an awesome tool. I was thinking about going trough a code base for an hobby project a while ago. But this tool could make it a much easier task. I haven't tried following the instructions yet. But it seems to be correct

Hm you're right about that. Also wasn't there a lot of people that thought qt wasn't open source enough. From what I recall there where some opposition against KDE for this reason. Shame really because it was quite neat.

what's really nice is how it works across modems and routers. I can't listen to my modems port in a classical sense, so a webserver wouldn't work. But this connects easily with my VPN! Which is fantastic. Setting this up manually would've b

This won't add much either. I was kind of hoping for a flame-war but the feedback proved to be much more interesting than reading old clichés.

You could try doing it with pulseaudio. It's nice because then you can stream everything that plays on a specific machine. Everything that's required is that the program has pulseaudio support which most music playing programs should have.

if the reason is to avoid unnecessary water consumption, wouldn't it be better to limit the rate of the water? Less water is used and nobody gets wet and annoyed.

Nice idea and an interesting article. If the goal is to be remembered for as long as possible giving more presents is obviously better. After 9 generations only a small part But some might feel that a enormous list of children with ratings

Let's say that you save 10'000 $ in an account with 5% interest, then you'll have 500 $ a year to spend on presents. If every child has two children the amount children in a generation is 2^n. When they grow up we stop giving them presents

It would be nice if it was possible to supply a seed for the randomization algorithm. Then the image wouldn't change at every reload and it's still possible to get another one if it's desired. I imagine it would be a bit annoying if the ima

Once I wanted to send a zip file of malicious php files. Google (correctly) identified them as harmful. It wouldn't allow me to send them even though I tried to pack them into zip, tar.gz and tar.bz2 files. In the end I wrote a script that

This looks really nice, I'm a big fan of lua as it's really quick to develop in and still minimal. It also seems to be relatively simple to integrate into other programs. I've been playing around a little with a lua based game framework cal

I guess it's more acceptable to use #000 for text because the curves in most fonts are rather thin. Text with a larger font will appear darker than text with a smaller font. Just as a thin line will appear bright next to a thicker line, eve

It would be awesome if this was integrated into gimp or made as a standalone program. With the ability to give the shapes colors etc. I played for a little while with gimp and recursivedraw.com and came up with this: http://eruditenow.com/
