Why does the additional wealth come into fruition by the toil of poor people? If I have a lot of money and invest it, I don't see how poor people are affected by my investment at all, unless the fact that the money is not being injecte

The article makes things sound very dire, but worse, doesn't really offer any solutions to the issue. I've seen some throwing around the idea of raising the minimum wage, but I'm skeptical this would solve the problem as well

Ah! Well, I suppose I was always afraid of having to mess with OS related stuff instead of getting things done but I think it's about time I learn. Thanks for the information!

Hey I appreciate the input. I'm actually EXTREMELY interested in finance so I'd love to know more about it. Do developers in finance require any unique skills? Also is there anything special one would have to do to break into the

Hm interesting.. do you ever feel like you are missing out on any programs while on ArchLinux? It seems that when people want to support Linux they often only choose to support Ubuntu/Debian. I'm definitely tempted to give ArchLin

I both agree and disagree. I imagine most people could tell the difference between an 8th year and 3rd year sushi chef. 3 years seems like such a short amount of time for something as complex as making sushi. On the other hand, I also can s

Does the fact that it's a subsidiary mean it's not a company? Otherwise, what separates a subsidiary from just being another team? I assume the difference is that a subsidiary can be legally considered to be a company on its own a

Why better as opposed to one that is just as good? If you got another job that's just as good that'd be akin to getting a 3 months paid vacation. I would LOVE that

Note that he said a good job, not necessarily a better one. I think the idea is that if someone is giving you 30k to find one, you really only need to find one that pays the same, or close. Technically you'd come out positive if you fo

Is 30k-40k really correct? That seems a bit high to me.. If you could make even 30k more a year from switching jobs, and you started at the standard 100k, after 10 years you would be making 400k. I haven't heard of any developers who m

There certainly are but are there that many reasons that are good enough to make someone stick around instead of taking 3 months pay while not having to work? I imagine most developers could find a job with similar pay in a month or maybe o
