Even if the purchase agreement is actually enforceable, would buying something on ebay even count as entering into that contract? Also, what does "In order to be recognized as a work of art the contract must be adhered" mean? Is there actu

"He was very shaken by the whole situation, as were his parents," Luque said. Well that will teach him to be interested in electronics. It's a good thing that there's an overabundance of kids going into science and engineering, otherwise

Not that I would suggest writing such a thing, but I did happen to look at the vote while httpfox was running. They seem to be using google analytics events to track the voting. There was also a request to scorecardresearch, but a quick l

It's tough to get every case of this and still have an autosuggest. They also got "muslims are" in the block list, but even then "muslims can" returns "muslims can not be trusted" within the top couple results.

Even though it would needlessly complicate the UI, I wouldn't mind a way to set what I thought the comment was 'worth' so that my vote would automatically adjust in the direction of that ideal. That way I could vote up a comment that I thou

"Think about that. If we could cut down on car crashes by even 5% we could save more than 2,000 lives!" I don't know whether or not this is true, but the argument is fallacious. Without further evidence, it is a bit premature to assume tha

Yeah, it would definitely be tough to figure the numbers out. I got the orange box mostly for TF2, and I'm sure I'm hardly alone. But other than the actual TF2 only purchases, it's tough to separate how many units TF2 really shipped.

Agreed, but I think this article is railing against a strawman. The choices aren't between basic and C++. Python, for example, can be used with simplicity rivaling most dialects of basic, but it is also a fairly powerful and expressive la

Or "review link" for that matter. It isn't all that uncommon to have an interesting story that links to a page that is just repeating content from a better and more complete source.

Don't forget about google street view. It doesn't provide the nice bird's eye view that this does, but there is street level coverage of a good chunk of the city.

If that ever became a problem, then surely it wouldn't be that much trouble to write a script that outputs it in whatever markup happens to be popular at the time.

If I remember correctly, "removing" these functions mostly just meant dumping them into the functools module rather than including them as a built in function.

Most any decent school for CS will have at least one student group that is very project oriented. It's not just a matter of meeting people, but rather meeting people who can help introduce you to new ideas and work on projects that are bey

"that's something that should make its way into other languages" It's starting to, to some extent. C#, for example, has had inferred types available since 3.0, though it still requires using the "var" keyword when declaring variables.
