It doesn't help that Apple doesn't let third party developers use it. The only SDK available for Homepod, is locked behind a bunch of approvals and the only thing it does is allow developers to implement music players. It's v

That's one of the things that would happen when your school board cares more about renaming schools and hiding murals and getting rid of the one school in San Francisco that can feed into an Ivy League school (Lowell). The same people

Its not like SVB has tons of toxic assets on their balance sheet. They have $13B in balance sheet equity (not marking to market HTM assets). There's $40B in cash and AFS bonds which are marked to market. This can be saved by another e

This isn't going to happen before Monday. Or before the AWS bill is due. $250k isn't going to cover most company's operating cash needs.

ADP isn't going to take that paper to cut paychecks. AWS isn't going to want that paper either. The best you can do is take that paper and get a loan with a stupid high interest rate and that's not going to happen quickly.

I have to say, Bank of America was a great bank for my startup. We wouldn't have gotten a bridge loan with them or anything like that but for operating cash management there was never an issue.

This is bad. This is real bad. ...and I don't think we're going to know the depth of the badness for a while. Think the credit crunch that precipitated the 2008 crash. Though this will be localized to tech startups and it's

Do you work for a company that has most of its operating cash in SVB? If so you probably won't see your next paycheck or it will be late. Even if you work for a unicorn there's still a risk because they're not likely to hold

If startups have their funds in SVB, which most do, and they can't wire those funds to ADP or whatever there's no payroll. I know this first hand because when I had a startup we wired upcoming payroll to ADP every two weeks. On

Well if a startup just closed a $20MM round they'll get back $250,000 after a long unwinding from the FDIC. So that's a pretty big haircut. I look to Sequoia because, of any VC fund, they are the most likely to be able to pull of

I don't see much of a need for USDT or any stable coin to be on centralized exchanges for much longer. Its useful as a place to park value on-chain via DEXs in between trades, kind of like Treasuries IRL. Even for Bitcoin its actually
