This is a nice solution, given the limitations of the various service APIs it hooks into, but I feel like it's the wrong solution to a more general problem. If I'm understanding what's happening, a user has to hand over far too much access

I would guess that the primary reason Australian organizations prefer hosting locally is performance. Australia is really far from the US and even further from Europe. Most of Australia's population is clustered in east coastal cities, so

I'm not sure about the data-center, but an old notebook makes a good home-servers/media-center: super quiet, slim form factor and built in UPS. You just need one that can run cool with the screen closed.

2002 was the start of Microsoft's major security rethink, prompted in part by exploits like the Code Red worm. For a short period it wasn't a building of engineers, but the whole engineering staff that stopped development and focused on sec

Chrome.exe used 6% CPU while scrolling and 3% while not scrolling. This was on a 16 core machine! One of my cores hovered around 75% while scrolling and around 35% while not scrolling, which went down to zero when I closed Chrome.

I'm not sure exactly how much water these data-centers use, but it's huge enough that Microsoft built a water treatment plant next to its DC in Quincy, WA, which it now leases back to the city for $10/year in exchange for reduced water rate

I think the most notable aspect of the 1911 edition - and every edition before and since - is that each is still around, distinct and readable. I don't yet know whether people will be able to reference a '2011 edition' of Wikipedia in a hun
