Establishing laws the right way may be hard, but following them is compulsory. I don't see why being forced to pay in order not to break the law shouldn't be an outrage.

The one time I saw something like that sign scene was Carmageddon, but that game was quite self-conscious in its humor, whereas in this ad it's worryingly out of place.

That's a lazy comment. Please explain when you have something substantial to say, instead of just baiting.

Where do governments or nations come into play here? Groups don't split along geographical lines any more, and so, breaking up countries will not lead to delineating groups with different values.

That's my point though - it's not ownership of the artwork. It has no legal power, and multiple can exist, made by anyone. Ownership of what then? Of a receipt or a signature.

You are buying something unique, but what you're buying is not art. Instead it's more like... a receipt? A signed copy?

Is there a contextualization of the questions asked? Some seem to be oddly disconnected, e.g. "A priori knowledge: no or yes?". A priori under what circumstances? As a layman, I don't know how to begin to understand the meani

This is full of hot takes, but it's missing sources and examples, so can't be taken as valid observations.

I agree, but that's no different than making songs/videos public on youtube. Pictures too, unless watermarking is used. I'm not a fan of this, but this is where the copyright zeitgeist seems to be headed.

Copyright holders upload their music and videos on youtube, pictures on photo sharing sites, yet they get upset if those are used by someone else. You could say that copying the data was not their intention, but can we say that copying was

While it's not strictly centralized, as in, there's no single root, the sets of root certs in usage are extremely similar. There are only a handful that matter, and they overlap significantly because they share choices: Windows, A

I see the distinction, but when I use public key cryptography, the keys are not symmetrical, and the server never sees my secret. Indeed it was my mistake when I searched for authentication mechanisms, which aren't concerned with the i

I guess that's equivalent to setting up a hosts file... Unless the DNS resolver can be configured to treat a selected server on the VPN side as authoritative for .mynetwork.

Does mDNS work across VPN tunnels? The main reason I delay IPv6 is because I access hosts across the VPN by their IPs, and I don't want to publish their DNS records.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. If performance was strictly dependent on features, as you say, then we would be running an extremely stripped down OS. But it's otherwise , and no one does it, even those who

The push to use a language comes from the mindshare, and Rust is more popular than Zig, D, or Ada. There does seem that some boundary was crossed: the attempt has decent manpower, and is being taken seriously. I also think you've gotte

Does it even matter "what intelligence is"? Much like "life" [0], the difficulty seems to be coming from being unable to define it, rather than "finding" it. There are multiple ways it can be defined, based on
