As usual, when someone is trying to show how certain code idioms are bad (or good in some cases), the entire example is bad which makes it hard to even care about the entire point of the article. As some have pointed out - make_pizza should

Pull the lever and house someone homeless if you have a spare room. Don't pull the lever and let the homeless people die over the next few years.

I did a youtube search for: attaching a prehung door and intitle: attaching a prehung door and the results are identical (for me at least). The results are also extremely relevant and concise in showing me how to install a prehung door. I a

It's not actually a "lot" of power - it's just enough. If there is evidence that an actor is doing something bad, we shouldn't have months in court to stop it. It should be immediate. It's better to have it sto

Not even emulators - I remember hacking PC-DOS games with TSR like programs. I can't even remember the name of those programs, but you basically had a hotkey and it interrupts the game and lets you do the search you mentioned above (se

Great so ten years from now after all the manufacturers remove this feature we'll have articles saying that the missing wear leveling feature is causing data loss and early failures.

Most city democrats are actually conservatives. They just don't believe it. They'll still vote "democrat" but typically the most conservative ones.

This is Ceasar Chavez on Easter Sunday. The ego of people at Google is larger than their intelligence. They don't understand when they turn people off by their "smart" decisions.

Especially when you feel like the makers of the rule changes did not first ask you. That's the biggest issue.

Same thing happened to me. That is extremely weird for them to not be intelligent enough to make this firefox compatible.

That's a smart thing to do - just ask for hot water at starbucks (if you're out of the house of course) and slip in a decaf tube. It would probably be free.
