I think I would have preferred the company be removed of their ability to collect credit information than any other penalty.

I have done this every time it involves money. Banks, Credit Companies, etc... don't let an incoming call end up with your money.

Same thing happens on Etsy. You work hard, get your product out there. You are successful. Then, 100 people copy you. And you tank. And copyright, trademark, and patent laws all fail you miserably.

I keep thinking last few days, we need a communist mode. Basically, a way to change all of the normal rules to option B when necessary. Instead of making random laws that make no sense. A method of completely putting all existing loans on p

UBI seems to be taking off. I don't think they will ever call the US stimulus check "UBI" due to the political climate, but wow. I think the scariest thing is not doing anything right now.

Testing may be inaccurate to up to 40% of cases. Not only because the tests are faulty (less likely), but because the virus is not present at the collection spot all the time (more likely) especially if the virus has entered but not yet mul

I believed we were at the 1M level about 3 weeks ago. I think we're at the 50 - 100M level at this point, but we won't see those numbers, ever. We will probably see about 5-10M US infections in 3 weeks, which account for the extre

Bad idea. I was at a Safeway yesterday and I heard an employee in the bakery coughing. Full on Coughing. No other employee said anything. I quickly left the store. It comes down to trust. These people may have varying degrees of care when i

Smart message, hopefully it is received at the cell phone companies. I noticed TMobile is going to give everyone unlimited internet for a couple months whether you have that plan or not - but they didn't say if they were going to avoid

Even if not - it was a pretty great payout event for older devs that are pretty much in their 70s now.

A single car driving on the street only affects the homes that knowingly bought a car on the busy street. A helicopter, or 1000 of them per day, affects about 90x more homes on a single pass.

They need to start making zones of quiet/loud at this point. I travel the country and I can't believe the number of places where you just hear airplanes, __all__ day long, including after 1am. Sometimes it's a helicopter. It

Thank you. A lot of people think there's no big deal. The major ones to suffer are the elderly, and to walk about because you're invincible doesn't mean you're doing the world a favor. You're possibly helping the sp

I think the ultimate would be for someone to develop an app that works with one (or multiple?) of these various photo apps so that everyone else can also get the totally seamless experience.

I'd be more interested in an automated news aggregator that timelines top issues, so that you can see the updates. The timeline would be intelligent enough to know when news articles cross into other areas. Sorta like a Git branch look

The largest issue with this whole thing is that it seems super broken that like 0.00001% of the population knows about this going up, yet it's going to affect 100% of them in a few years. And still no say in it. I mean we're not e

I know this is more relevant for movies, but it would be rather cool to have a movie compressed for a year of computation, and deliverable in about 100MB, then let it decompress for a few hours on your computer back to its original 9GB size

My password update script for one site used this SQL: UPDATE Users SET Password=? We had backups. Selective restore. 7 accounts that were new, not in the backup, got a special flag that required a reset.
