Was bracing for another rug pull around all this, but kudos to Dario and co for their continued vigilance. Refreshing to see.

The article addresses this by making the point that prototypes != production. Arduino is great for prototyping (authors opinion; I have limited experience) but not for production-level manufacturing. LLMs are effectively (from this article&

Imagine an OIDC type solution but for parents might work here. Basically, kids can sign up for an account triggering a notification to parents. The parent either approves or rejects the sign in. Parents can revoke on demand. See kids login

I think it has very little to do with the assistant factor and more to do with the loneliness factor (at least in the West, people are getting lonelier, not less). In other words: sell it to them as a friendly companion/assistant, play

This idea seems to be lost on a lot of people. It's a shame to see mastery (and by extension, quality) becoming an anachronism and frankly, terrifying. There's a certain hubris associated with all of this that seems to be blinding

I use Claude mostly, too, and I don't bother. I just hand design/build (html/css) the UI I want and then let the LLM fill in implementation details. Much better results as the LLM can't "see" the same way we do

You're literally downloading a bunch of stuff first just to do a first paint, versus just sending back already built and styled HTML/CSS. Not only is client-only technically slower, it's also perceptively slower.

They were scanning BLE so any device using that protocol in range would be picked up. Similar to seeing your neighbor's Wi-Fi router from your couch.
