If you consider Netflix more analogous to HBO[1]than to cable than this is similar to BET. I think individual channels will win out over cable style packages, though there might be room for an aggregator that offers discounts. I'd rath

It'd be awesome if there was something to let them data mine their own emails for trends. Something like Palantir for political representatives.

It's interesting how public some of the comments have been including executives and previous executives of Reddit commenting on some big changes and big opinions. Including the once CEO of Reddit /u/Yishan publicly criticizin

Interesting. It's an odd thing, to me the immediate story is heroic founders and VC conspire to save company. I wondered if there was a negative or victim in this case, at worst it would be Conde Nast, but even they win in this scenari

My argument is that people will desire valuable labor because well, we already do. We prefer being valuable to boredom.

I think culturally, and perhaps it's generational as a Millennial but I doubt that[1], I think culturally we have to ask ourselves why people work? I don't have enough information to state this factually, hopefully if someone does

Historically it's been very difficult to make social media sites profitable. Did Digg ever make a profit? To my knowledge Reddit is still in the red. There has also been a large rhythmic trend of migrations especially in social. So it&

As an early evacuee from Digg to Reddit, Reddit wasn't scalable at the time. It was constantly down.

I've been talking about this with my friends. I think VR creates a really cool opportunity for interactive events. My favorite two examples to think of are Star Wars dogfights and fantasy exploration. I like to think about climbing int

I really wish there was. I tried Firebase + Angular and liked it well enough, but I found the security rules kind of hard to grasp. I've been using Meteor, and I like it quite a bit. There are a lot of things I wish were different but

I'd switch to sublime in a heart beat and pay twice what he wants now if it had a similar package manager to Atom. That to me is the biggest draw. I often try to pick sublime back up, but when I go to install packages I find I have to

Implied pronouns, perhaps a trend from Facebook usage? On Facebook and Twitter you have an implied "I" that makes saying you did something redundant. This could transfer over to other formats of conversation.

A lot of companies will ask for existing code examples, in this way I can just point them to my example-code github repo and I've had companies use that instead of asking me to do a specific challenge for them.
