The definition of a symmetric cipher requires the cipher text to be (practically) indistinguishable from random. Length is not particularly useful (multiple blocks, different block ciphers with equal block length).

CtrlP takes care of that. Ctrl+P and then Ctrl+F (cycle to buffers list—you can also map this to anything you want) and it will list buffers with a + next to the buffers with local edits. Ctrl+D and it will change from full path to file nam

I liked Head First Design Patterns. It's fun and covers most of GoF patterns (with a brief overview of leftovers). The examples (although fairly trivial) are in Java.

I found it very limited (just movement keys) even compared to Chrome vimium. You can remap vimperator (or pentadactyl) keys anyway. The only difference I remember was d (close tab) instead of x.

Nice UI but the Slab Serif typeface is not suitable for reading large chunks of text IMO.
