Insurance should not be for profit, and things like e.g. State Farm suddenly cancelling people's renters/fire insurance just two weeks before the fires (I am one of those people) are what people hate about insurance. No one is arg

Overall nice, but I'm bummed to be running into some bugs regarding a few key binding assignments. Though, I could just be missing something due to the somewhat spartan docs. Given all the time and hype, I'd have hoped that wrinkl

I’ve written a huge number of shell and Python scripts to deal with these sorts of things. But I recently started learning Go and had a lightbulb moment: why not write a cross-platform tool that does this? I really like Neovim’s approach of

There's no way in hell I'd agree to additional remote work if I'm being demanded to return to the office. Either it's remote or it's not.

Exact same here. I write roughly the same amount of Powershell as I do Bash, and yet to this day I feel like I barely know Powershell and constantly look up the simplest things, whereas loads of dark corners in Bash stick in my mind perfect

If what we’re talking about is a website/app/SaaS/etc, and if it needs to be up 24/7, then that almost certainly means that it’s being used globally, or at least across several timezones. So, hire a team in another time

I will never understand the sentiment that macOS has been “dumbed down.” It’s a zsh shell with BSD utils. 99% of my shell setup/tools on Linux just work on macOS. I can easily install the gnu utils if I want 99.9% similarity. I very ha

There is a frustrating amount of nuance being lost in this discussion, and as usual it's devolving into tribalism. However, I'll say that, while this clearly is not Microsoft's fault, the realization of just how much crit
