there is https://github.com/laion-ai/open-assistant being built in the open already. you can contribute too. please also notice that the article you linked is about the text classifier of the frontend and not the LLM i

vaguely kinda related. I want to like lisp for its features but the syntax is too much for me to pick up without serious time investment, which I am not sure I want to make. are there any other languages that support for example lisp-like i

from the article: > The area has also attracted people who believe they suffer from electromagnetic hypersensitivity, though scientific experiments have shown this condition is caused by the nocebo effect rather than electromagnetic wave

if this was a discussion on generative AI, I'd agree that the cat is out of the bag and there's no stopping this now. BUT. what are people using deepfakes for, in good faith? can someone provide one example that isn't malicio

while from the same company, same lab, I don't think this is what the article you linked is about. To me, that seems like a general purpose LLM and this just for code.

hard disagree. Mistyped a name? with classes you get an error on compile time. Dictionaries? only on runtime. plus, you won't need to remember every field because your editor can autocomplete it for you

what I don't understand is: if the plane could make contact with the satellite, why aren't there automated systems in place to send location info through that channel? can someone explain?

this is mentioned in the article. there are things pointing to the contrary, mostly that the plane didn't shatter onto a million different pieces upon impact

it seems to be constantly that way norwadays. I think they might give priority to paying API users, and of course by now there has been enough time for applications to implement chatgpt stuff.

I do respect artist's concerns. I have a hard time getting this one though. The ai learned that humans usually put squiggly lines in the corners, and it does, too. What is wrong with this?

I very much agree with cheat.sh! I just do curl cheat.sh/X instead of X --help and then man X and then the search for "how to do y in X"
