Same, I switched decades ago because of rsi. Now I always use the mouse on the left. I used to switch to the right only to do very fine “lasso” work in photoshop. But I do full time development only now.

My favourite times were playing Marathon and Quake during lunch at work. This was mid 90s. Marathon was a cutting edge Mac game made by Bungie. It was the first 3D shooter I played where you could look up and down.

No one on this thread is talking about the simplest explanation: that unseen entities were communicating with this woman. Of course this explanation flies in the face of scientific naturalism. But it’s good to question beliefs based on new

The Manning website allows you to read a good amount online for free. Their books and book reading experience are impressive.

Is it just me, but how can this be taken seriously when the author was trying to show no result. While I love self experimentation, publishing it as if it’s valid science is unfortunate.

Do they really save us time? What about if you used a mature back end framework such a Rails, Django or Laravel for 95% of your app. And then vue or react for the 5% that rally needs it? Would this be more or less productive?

What would that look like in practice. Would you write 95% of the basic crud stuff as server side rendered then just have the React or Vue component for the really complex UI stuff? Would there be downsides having the mix of languages (assu

Our team is solid with a good mix of back end and front end skills. We have a legacy web app we want to modernize. Many people on the team want a SPA but I’m just cautious about blindly following the hype (remember when SQL was un cool unti

We use this work flow and it works masterfully. I have no need to save all my small commit - partly because I commit often to run tests in parallel on a CI server. Does anyone know of a layer that you can use on top of git to make the occas

It is still relevant, They updated the copy in 1985 to keep it modern but also true to the original. The straightforward message of that book is as powerful as ever.

This is a pretty strong statement. Can you provide details to back it up? I’m interested because Urbit seems at the edge of genius that is ahead of its time and obscure and inaccessible. The hoon programming language seem quite ambitious.
