Unfortunately the first TUV inspection is three years after initial registration. In Spain it’s four years. Plenty of time to blind people.

Many European active headlights solutions were banned in the US upon release thanks to the NHTSA. Meanwhile us Europeans got blasted by them daily.

First generation Audi Matrix LED lights would have a word. Those blind oncoming traffic for a full second before dimming. They were banned in the US, ironically.

As an EU citizen, I notice that our regulators tend to target industries that operate outside of the EU. There is a massive car lobby in Europe with dozens of big companies and regulation would have a big effect on them. There are headlight

Feels illegal under EU GDPR rules. I believe the accept and reject buttons should be equal size and style. Pay to eject, I’m not sure if that is illegal.

I’m talking about a vehicle that you can buy in either two or four door version. In that direct comparison the two door wins in ease to get in to, visibility, weight and less complexity. If you don’t use the rear seat the two door is a no-b

Got it. I guess some people still use wired mice and keyboards with legacy connectors. But how many of those use them on a $350 board? Seems like a very small use case. I personally use Bluetooth for that, been doing that for the past 20 ye

Understandable but I would have preferred a couple of fully functional USB-C ports and then have people use dongles for using old hardware on this board. Similar to using a serial adapter.

Interesting. I don’t own any legacy USB equipment anymore, everything is USB-C now. I started phasing out my old equipment ten years ago and everything from the past five years has had USB-C as standard. Even my shaver chargers over USB-C.

I’m surprised to see those legacy USB ports on a board where space savings is important. Do they do it for backwards compatibility with older cases and housings? And am I correct to see that the USB-C only does power? How do you connect you

It’s possible in The Netherlands to charter a private train. I have seen large companies do this for a company retreat. It’s not even that expensive. I remember it being €5000/hour which isn’t a bad way to move 300 employees to the oth

Meanwhile nobody bats an eye in Spain if you hire illegal African immigrants, pay them far below minimum wage and house them in shacks without electricity and running water. Places like Almería look like slave towns.

Change videogames so they aren't big-bang releases but make them monthly releases. Building a piece software for years and then releasing it all in once reminds me of the 1990s. Nowadays we continuously deliver. Euro Truck Simulator 2

Everywhere. Normally adding an extra endpoint to the REST API would take a sprint. Now PM expects you to do two. Only way to get that done is a lot of vibe-coding and delivering sub-par results.

And many employers now require you to code faster, which is only possible with AI tooling. They don't understand that coding faster isn't always better.

There wasn't a signed contract with the previous franchisee from what I can see. And even then, the trail audit goes further as the previous franchisee didn't have a proof of purchase of $200k of inventory.
