I honestly don't think there is any incentive for large corporation to care too much about things like this and, on the contrary, they are incentivized to do more! The fine they get is basically cost of doing business and since our att

I think this is really interesting from a meta (in-context) learning pov, but I think at some point prompt engineering stops being prompt engineering and instead becomes in-context training. This is problematic for applications such as sear

I don’t see the contradiction. Humans can be emotional and at the same use science to make all humans life better! In fact why would we ever develop any technology that makes life better for others if we don’t have any feelings for them?

>Finding that 70% of attention heads and 20% of feed-forward networks can be excised with minimal effect on in-context learning suggests that large language models are undertrained. I thought that it was common knowledge that LLMs are un

Another probable bad side effect of AI will be that a generation of developers will become dependent on copilot/chatgpt to be able to write code! They will definitely perform worse than before llm era without the help of a llm!

Are there any AI startups with big funding which are using AI to solve what was promised that AI would solve (climate change, cancer etc.)? Seems to me that majority of AI startups are extremely focused on either enterprise copilots/ag

If I understand correctly, your focus will be on smaller models and what can be built on top of them? How relevant do you think fine-tuning small models will be once AGI is widely accessible? Do you think smaller models can co-exit in a AGI

What I would love to see is this model being able to learn ti automate some tasks that I usually do! e.g. sign up for events/buy tickets etc! If this has access to your login details, and could log in, it could be a great assistant!

Serious competition in the small model space recently. The main goal of models this small is to be deployed locally to phone/laptop (consumer electronics soon maybe?) I wonder if this will lead to a new generation of apps/UI, if i

Considering that this model has basically zero censorship I would say it is going to take a while before companies have fine-tuned this enough before putting it in production.

This could seriously aid enterprise open-source model adoption by making them safer and more aligned with company values. I think if more tools like this are built, OS models fine-tuned on specific tasks could be a serious competition OpenA

Very few things stay the same in Technology. You should think of technology as another type of evolution! It is driven by the same type of forces as evolution IMO. I think even Linus Torvalds once stated that Linux evolved trough natural se
