There's a discussion on that in the comments at the bottom of the article, where the author explains why it wasn't analyzed.

I feel like I'm missing some context here. Who is DHH and why is his desktop so desirable? The main page says it's "opinionated" and has two thumbnails of desktops that are mostly just a background image.

I think this is an issue for any curation. It's especially an issue for music - bandcamp shows you music - top sellers, recently sold, liked by creators, etc that all require someone else to do curation. They do have a random listing,

I made a process supervisor, probably less simple than nitro but much more simple (and focused) than systemd. Aside from the overreach, I think there are some legitimate issues with systemd: - It's really hard to make services reliable

I'm not that familiar with XSLT but isn't it already quite hobbled? Can it be used in a significant way? Or is this a chicken-egg problem where proving it's useful requires the implementation to be filled out first.

I think GP means "algebraic data types" not "abstract data types", probably specifically tagged unions. Both Kotlin and Java can (now) do something similar with sealed classes but it's quite less ergonomic.
