I made https://github.com/andrewbaxter/terrars ! It's great! You get more benefits if you're in a Rust project (obviously) but it has some things that make it a good alternative anywhere: - More accurate type

A constraint like "make the top of this 20px below the top of the screen" should be no more computationally expensive than "margin-top: 20px". I'm not familiar with Apple's Auto-layout but why is it so slow? Ma

That's 2/4? The kitkat bars look nothing like kitkat bars for the most part (logo? splits? white cream filling?). The DNA armor is made from normal metal links.

AFAICT Filevine doesn't use AI programming: https://www.filevine.com/jobs/d64dfff5-e36f-4db6-adac-0fc082... There's no mention of AI there other than writing code to integrate AI pipelines. I've seen a l

I had Code Complete (uh, I think?) and stuff like using early returns and consistency with conditional clauses (negative or positive first) was an interesting way of looking at software. I don't think I ever read the full book though.

There's a 100% chance that you can't work in person with your full team, so if you think in-person work is important I'm not sure how overall it can be better value, since you won't get that.

The abstract wasn't clear to me, but looking it up FDA recommends 20mcg = 800 IU, and the paper recommends 8000 IU. It seems like others are more conservative (7000 IU). I don't think I've ever seen the 20mcg rec, everywhere

I've seen non-programmers learn SQL, and SQL is far more inconsistent, complex, non-orthogonal, fragmented, footgunny, and user hostile than most programming languages. I'm not sure what I mean by this, WRT XSLT vs Javascript.
