When I need quick access to data without the hassle of logging in to my trading platform I usually go to Finviz. The charts aren't that helpful but the data and screener are excellent.

It depends. If we're post-scarcity then my customers would be like the Ten Forward customers on the Enterprise and I'd get to wear a sweet hat like Whoopi. If not, then I assume they'd be like I am now: someone lucky enough

Almost certainly, but usually the schedule is flexible enough that I could just work fewer shifts if it gets to be too much.

I definitely wouldn't put all my fears, hopes, and dreams in to a vote for a politician who promises to bring my job back. What I WOULD do is move to a place with the lowest possible cost of living and become a bartender or something e

The borrow rate my broker (IB) is quoting is 120% despite only 7.55% of the float being short. I guess the clearing firms just don't have any shares to lend out -- we could see another price drop once the stock is easier to borrow.

Google has a significant presence, though my understanding is it's mostly sales. Chicago has a well-diversified economy, so it's not dominated by any one industry or company. There are a ton of bigcorp jobs, but they're more

We're a product company. We track time, but only so we can plan our sprints better. We do estimates as a group using planning poker, which has the added benefit of fleshing out (and limiting) scope. Our minimum unit of trackable time

I gave up ~3 years ago. I had to choose between aggressively pursuing low-paying trading jobs or being pursued for high-paying tech jobs. The decision was pretty easy for my family and me. As we'd say in the industry, I went were th

If you're considering algo trading as a career then be sure to talk to a lot of people doing it. I spent several years trying to break in to the industry at a few prop firms with only middling success. Here are my observations: 1. T

I bit the bullet and got an Aeron with attachable head rest. My wife thought I was nuts for spending that much on a chair, but it's completely worth it since I work from home.
