That's a weird take. I am not blaming people trying, I am blaming people cheating. I have no problem with people being inexperienced, but if the amount of seemingly inexperienced colleagues I have to deal with goes up, and it's be

You missed my point, there is no use teaching those who are cheating. And there is no use learning if you don't get called out.

Sure, as long as I'm willing to do the 90% missing bits manually, RSS does everything else automatically. /s There is a major discovery problem and saying "out of scope" does not make it go away.

The problem is that now, when your colleagues/contributors push out shitty code that you have to fix... you don't know if they even tried or just put in bad code from an LLM.

You will need another tool to write a lock file that actually locks dependencies for more environments than your own. I don't know what you're trying to say. Pip does not support writing it. Sure, I guess if you have one Pip will

You can specify markers in the requirements file you write, not in the frozen requirements from 'pip freeze'. Because it's just a list of what's installed on your machine.

You literally phrased it as "I have no idea why". You can't be upset if someone feels you don't understand why.

With the new major release of Poetry that just came out I also feel like it might be a good time to switch to Uv rather than adapt to this new version: https://python-poetry.org/blog/announcing-poetry-2.0.0/

This works until you need to upgrade something, pip might upgrade to a broken set of dependencies. Or if you run on a different OS and the dependencies are different there (because of env markers), your requirements file won't capture

The extra static checks are the mutable vs non-mutable references, and the Sync/Send traits. Mutex does not introduce indirection.

Leaking memory is not what is referred to as "memory unsafe". This is clickbait.

You can't refer to any old location so there is no observable mutation. For example you can't move if a reference exists.

I don't understand. If something hurts your civilization but it was free, does that make it better? Like if everyone was able to build a nuclear bomb, would that make the ensuing nuclear winter more moral?

There are attempts to address that like LISP https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9300.html

I see only one IPv6 timeout, for fragmented packet reassembly, in other words between reception of fragments . So it's a bound on jitter not latency, and I see no reason it couldn't be increased for interplanetary links.

I would love to have an RSS interface where I can republish articles to a number of my own feeds (selectively or automatically). Then I can follow some my friends' republished feeds. I feel like the "one feed" approach of mos

Yeah the game has been dropped by its authors at this point, but there are a lot of cards available (I ended up buying the entire collection of all packs and expansions for $100 on Amazon... though I never pull it all out) and the mobile ap

Epic Card Game is another cheaper/fast MTG alternative. The base set costs $10 and comes with 120 unique cards, enough for 4 players, constructing decks, or drafting. No lands like in MTG, no weak cards, I found it to be really fun. Th
