AI cannot write this kind of code unattended. This can't work.

All you need to do is put 2 spaces before your code. I'm sure OP could have managed. Like this https://news.ycombinator.com/formatdoc

How do they even find you? Once they have your printer model and serial number, can they find the user? I can see how this could be used to prove or disprove it was some suspect's printer, or if it was the same printer between document

Looks like printers don't do it if you're printing black & white.

Yes maybe I picked the wrong top comment to reply to. Apologies. I agree with what you said, it is a long way from where it started.

In Minecraft/Terraria/Subnautica, I can actually do something with the new equipment. Go to new places, fight new enemies, conquer new bosses. In No Man' Sky, it's already all there. In fact 10 minutes into the game I

I thought this would read your commit message out loud in the announcer's voice. But this just says the original lines. It would be really cool in an office environment, and would probably help with properly-formatted messages (e.g. in

I enjoy sandboxes. I like Minecraft, Terraria, etc. "Make a gold axe so you can dig further" is something to work forward. Make an anvil so you can craft new equipment to explore, sure. Here it's "make a qreblz machine

The implication is clear even if formulated as a question. Let's not pretend here. Asking people if they've played the game (or "read the article") is also directly against the HN guidelines.

People keep saying that. I ended up biting the bullet after the latest "game changing" update. It's barely a game at all. It's still a walking simulator. The environment is great, and there is some variety. But there is

1 hour? How do you even justify getting equipment if you don't intend for it to be used? Those machines will be obsolete before they have been used the equivalent of 2 days.

The choice is always between a controller and a generator. The advantage of a controller is that it can react to external conditions, for example nodes/pods failing, etc. The is great for e.g. a database where you need to failover and

Why not use a dedicated algorithm? Rolling hashes and bloomfilters would get you a lot more than trying to glean something out of a compressed stream. It's not because compression algorithms use dictionaries that it's the only way

The question is why is "0 results" correct. hyrix's answer is so that you have a simple equation for plural, my response is that if "0 result" was correct we would have an even simpler equation.

We were never talking about branches and tags. I think possibly you don't know what "revision" means? A commit hash identifies both a patch or a revision, that's my point.

You need both. Even with Git (a snapshot-based system), some commands take a hash as a revision and some take a hash as a change (e.g. checkout/rebase/reset/bisect vs cherry-pick/revert/amend). You'll hear both

I don't know if managing patches makes more sense than managing revisions. The truth is that you need both. Sometimes you are authoring patches, and reviewing patches. But sometimes you are releasing/trying/building revisions
