Ultimately, it is more about influence than attention itself. You can see how some thoughts and new expressions spread like viruses nowadays. The term "Quiet quitting" being one recent example as it seems like every LinkedIn influ

I'm on my third pair now. IMO the Airpods Pro are poorly designed. You really gotta be careful when you handle them as the little "air vents" that prevent ear pressure can easily "clogs" and this create a rattle sou

I now view life as a sort of cosmic experience or simulation. What matters (to me) are the insight you get, the exchange you have with other people, the new perspective you acquire thru life experiences. The external is sort of a theatre (s

My brother in law's father had 2 German Shepards trained to guard his commerce and one night the burglars came in and killed them both. Very sad.

It seems like there's something darker and more perverse at play here. I'm not saying it's necessarily organized, but it's a dangerous dynamic. It like everything is done to prevent people's mind to be at peace and

It's inspiring to see good municipal broadband in the US. I wish this was more common here in Canada. To me it make sense that a city owns and operate critical infrastructure such as this.

I don't think the "Linux Desktop ecosystem" can actually learn from this. Look at the number of projects and distros out there. Too many variations and opinions to have a cohesive UX.

Are these running the same OS and software as the Nest/Google Wifi routers? If yes, then I'm not sure why Google couldn't at least support them in terms of security patches.

Langage is built on memory, and without memories, how can there be thoughts? If you are from some uncontacted tribe in the Amazon that were never exposed to any modern technology, you cannot think about computers, skyscrapers or microwave

I cannot think of a scenario in which the metaverse is a tangible benefit for society and humanity. To me this is highly sofisticated escapism and may seems benign today, but in 10-15 years, if it catches on, will be very scary. Even tho Ma

In the article, they posted a screenshot where there's an Android game, a WIN32 app (word), a PWA app and a linux app in the same window. So I think Microsoft wants to position Windows 11 as the platform for all apps.
