I'm currently in the market for a new TV 50-55", preferably the least smart, the better. Any suggestions? I can't seem to find any non-smart TVs that are reasonably current with at least 3 HDMI ports.

Yes, if you have synced with iTunes before the update. If that's the case you have to delete the updated app from the phone, connect phone to iTunes (do not sync or transfer purchases) and copy over the old app from iTunes to phone and
