I think the core team is opposed to it. IIRC it's because they don't want to surprise anyone with the type used for collection literals, but it might have been something else.

`List<T>` is technically immutable. You can make it mutable by casting to `MutableList<T>`, but that's something you have to explicitly do.

Jealousy and greed is driving the opposition to the tax plan. If you look closely, you'll see that most complaints aren't about not getting a tax break, because 99.99999% of people will get one. No, the chief complaint is "th

Someone I know was in such a situation. He bought or leased (I don't remember) a nice car a week before he passed. The payments got passed on to his children, who didn't want to deal with that in the wake of their dad's death

This seems like a good indicator of a bubble. Everyone and their uncle knows a crash is coming, and these guys are shooting nonsense about regret and disappointment. 1b is a lot of money. Even for these guys.

Idk. I'm a high income tax payer in a blue state. According to my calculations, I'll be paying less taxes next year. In fact, according to my calculations, almost every one will be paying less, except a miniscule population that w

I scored pretty high (I don't remember the score though) on a cold LSAT, but after taking a course with an instructor who got multiple 180's, my official score was in the 99.9th percentile. I got into a top 5 law school, but didn&

My understanding of all these projects is that you have to change your style of coding / have more complex APIs, or they're just syntactic sugar over heavyweight threads. What loom seems to offer is the best of both worlds; going

I stopped reading when the author suggests that people are falling out of love with silicon valley because most companies hire mostly white males. What a terrible racist/sexist thing to say.

Ignoring the fact that it's against the law, I'd say there's a problem of illegal immigrants taking jobs away from citizens, or at the very least lowering the wages that a citizen can expect for lower end jobs. Then, when the

My dad loves telling the story of how he had a contractor working on his house in NYC area, and heard a garbage can rattling. He opened the can to find a full grown possum. The contractor lazily grabbed a 2x4, whacked the possum in the head
