I have used react-sortablejs and react-leaflet in the past. I don't have any experience actually wrapping existing libraries myself though. https://github.com/SortableJS/react-sortablejs https://react-l

Assuming you don't want to make the current repo public, you have to rename the current repo and create a new public repo with your username. Obviously that will break redirects, so update your existing references to that repo.

I ran Gentoo Linux on a 12" iBook PowerPC G4 for a while after Apple officially declared it as end-of-life. I really loved the form factor at the time, it feels clunky now.

Yeah, reading a single file will not have a noticable impact, but we all know it will not stop at a single file. Before you know it a full blown web browser is included. The suckless philosophy is pretty extreme, but I'm grateful there

I feel mazes are a nice hello world project for learning a new programming language. I made one in JavaScript last month when I was setting up a personal web site. I added a maze to the 404 page to show how truly lost you are when you end u

The maze generation is slowed down to visualize what is going on. Most of those mazes can be generated in a few of milliseconds.

I also like monospaced fonts, but using them for articles is a bit unusual. Justifying monospaced fonts seems wrong on some levels, but who am I to judge. In my browser only the spaces between words get stretched, spaces between letters are

Nice write-up, but it feels like I'm missing some important parts of the picture. The company seems to have a lot of layers for its size. How big is the company and how is it organized? What does this person consider to be their team a

You might be thinking of GNU, which is a recursive acronym that stands for "GNU's Not Unix". As far as I understand it we got the name Linux because Linus Torvalds was quite bad at naming things. :) https://en.wiki

Speaking of mental models, "basically templates" is the wrong mental model for JSX. JSX is syntactic sugar for the React.createElement() function. Writing some components using this function directly will lead to a much better und
