I'm pretty sure ASINs are not as unique as the author is making out. I'm pretty sure they are just created when you upload to Amazon.

The answer to any question posed in a title is no. Try it sometime. If you see a title question mentally just say “no”. The reasons for this law of media are manifold but boil down to 1) if there was evidence that the thing would happen the

As a business owner myself this is total nonsense. I proudly pay my staff well and I don't overwork them. Anything else is a choice and it's a choice that nearly always benefits you not your employees.

If you are going to argue by anecdote at least use a believable anecdote. Amazon have one of the most customer friendly refund policies and always offer a refund or replacement- obviously because they are just pushing it on to their sellers

A cynical person might say that large telecoms company aren’t interested in monopolizing your market and so you are free. I’m astounded by how bad/expensive my internet is in massive cities that should be easy to connect. I live in an

Which is good right? Cause everyone needs to use the restroom and people are complaining about people urinating/defecating in non restroom areas? Nobody is not using the restroom by choice. Places that smell like urine or excrement cle

Great! I’ve driven the I5 so many times and I’m so sick of it. I’d love for a viable alternative and going from downtown LA to San Francisco on a train sounds like a dream.

So yes, you agree with me. They do regulate and influence the real estate market specifically the price of housing. And as in the first point they don’t have any interest in the price dropping. If the only way the price is allowed to change

Are you trying to claim that the government (let's pick the US government) doesn't get involved in regulating the housing market? Do you think they don't attempt to keep the house prices from crashing ? (also known as gettin

Read my shoe example in the other thread, it's the difference between something being an asset and an investment.

Right. But let us pretend that the we all decided to treat shoes as an asset class. Everyone (with shoes) is counting on their shoes increasing in value. So the government becomes focused on raising the prices of everyone's shoes. It i

I think you are misunderstanding me. I didn’t say it was an asset. The majority of physical things you purchase are assets. I said it was an “asset class” in the financial use of the term. “ An asset class is a grouping of investments that

People in the comments here seem stuck in the weeds around various laws and tax incentives. The overarching issue is that housing (something everyone needs) is being treated as an asset class. As an asset class people who own it want it to

As someone who grew up on a farm in Ireland there is an embarrassment of archaeological sites. The general philosophy is they are safer in the ground and we’ll excavate them when we get round to it. That said there is a real danger of sites

Ok, so to your points. "It depends" is the correct answer to the question, but the least informative. One Big Server or multiple small servers? It depends. It always depends. There are many workloads where one big server is the pe

Nope. Multiple small servers. 1) you need to get over the hump and build in multiple servers into your architecture from the get go (the author says you need two servers minimum), so really we are talking about two big servers. 2) having mu
