I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss his entire act because of what he did. Watch his latest special to see his perspective. He’s not exactly Bill Cosby.

The only software that has the potential to delight the user are games or gamified software (likes, follows, etc). Everything else is out-of-mind at best.

I think it’s inevitable. If the software naively measures keystrokes or idle time, there are obvious ways to trick it. Unfortunately less technologically adept employees might not be able to circumvent it

I sort of like the peopleware description of technology "anything that didn't exist when you were a kid is technology" In that sense movie theater subscriptions counts as technology. Is moviepass still dumb? Yes.

No argument from me about that. It’s why I know I can’t play any game with a social element (MMOs). Min max type is just so, so fun for me. Same thing happened with Darkest Dungeon.

I would recommend not getting the game if you have a highly addictive personality when it comes to games. I spent hundreds of hours on slay the spire and it affected my last relationship. Amazing game though.

I think it has to do with making money. People on cheap android phones may be less likely to buy your product, so it might not make sense to prioritize their needs.

I imagine these algorithm writing tools (GPT, etc) are going to be adopted by writers the same way autotune has been embraced by the music industry. When used in moderation it can help give originality to the final work. When overused it wi

Social distancing works then? Seriously, I don’t think anyone doubted that heart disease/car accidents/opioids are more life threatening than covid. It’s just the devil we don’t know.

I think I’m the only person who considers online shopping less convenient than just going to a local store and buying it. In person you just walk or drive over to the store, select the item, pay, and go home with the correct product. Onlin
