When cooking rice a good rule of thumb is to use equal parts water and rice because a given volume of rice is able to absorb the same volume of water. I imagine the rice or quinoa is expanding as it cooks and absorbs water.

Illumination Tutorial for Software 3D Rendering (2/2+) [c++20] ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXU-6_jmw7Q ) was just released by Bisqwit and it goes over a rather naive implementation of real-time global illumination.

Yes, it's easy to avoid 'mustard blight' if you know how to choose. Also, don't choose rock-hard fruits. The middle should give a little when gently squeezed (squeezing too hard would split open the peel).

Dragon fruit can be grown in California, Florida, and Hawaii and is not "bland mush with tiny seeds that can require floss to dislodge". The author must have had a bad one. They can be extremely sweet. The seeds are so small that

Nice! I have a Canon 70D for which I simply use: sudo modprobe v4l2loopback And then the identical invocation of gphoto2 as yours. Seems gphoto2 includes a wide range of camera support.

I like using the concept of Cohesion to answer questions about "what belongs where". But I didn't understand the conclusion. The author goes through two refactors of a Rails controller. After adding a call to a mailer he says

From the video around 4:40: > 33,865 COVID cases out of a total of 280,900 total tested--that's 12% of Californians were positive for COVID. This would only be true if those tested were randomly selected. Even in the most optimistic

It seems to me that JRR Tolkien had a bigger vision than could be realized in a lifetime and he passed some of that vision on to his son Christopher. That doesn't make Christopher's work equal but it may be what JRR hoped Christop

I've stuck with Firefox for years because I value open source and open web but today I finally switched to Chrome. It feels like I have a new computer. Firefox constantly pegs my CPU. It seems to have gradually gotten slower.
