So far, as far as I know they haven't executed anyone in this country for speaking out again tyranny. I know "my best" pales in comparison to people like Sophie Scholl, but that statement shows my optimism about the current state of affairs

That's simply not true. Even in Nazi Germany there were pockets of resistance and people like Sophie Scholl who gave their lives because of their ideals. I for one am doing my best to resist tyranny in all its forms. I certainly won't write

I've purchased a bunch of them, but I never felt I got as much out of them as Ryan Bates' Railscasts. For one, peepcodes are too long to sit through in one session and follow along. Secondly, there is a bunch of extraneous stuff in each pee

What about for those who rely on Heroku? So far there is no way to run multi-AZ deployments.

Surprisingly it works fine in Ubuntu with Chrome 10. I'm glad Chrome development progresses on Linux evenly with Mac and Windows as compared to Skype which lags behind.

As far as buffer switching, I never keep hundreds of files open because when I switch git branches it's hard to remember which buffers need to be reverted. Instead I usually close everything, change branches, and then open up files as neede

Is there anything as good as Braid in this bundle? I bought the last Humble Indie Bundle and nothing really struck my fancy as much as Braid. The game play is truly innovative and the difficulty on par with Apple II and Amiga games of my yo

It's hard to imaging how the task of translation can be combined with language learning since one requires great competency and the other requires little or no competency.

I found that nearly every used car I looked at on CL was either being resold by small-time "car dealers" or bought up by these same people. It was nearly impossible to find a good used car so I finally leased a new one instead.

It is clear from the context what Paul is saying and I don't think anyone who hears him speak for more than 2 minutes will believe he's a racist: PAUL: Well, I think what you've done is you bring up something that really is not an issue, n

Whenever I mention libertarian principles on HN I get a mixed response, but this is one situation where we must demand individual rights. We need to elect politicians like Ron Paul who oppose big government intrusions into our privacy. This
